Lars Kestner is an American author of financial texts from Baton Rouge, Louisiana. He attended McKinley Senior High School and received a BS from the University of Pennsylvania with a double concentration in Finance and Statistics. Lars' most prominent title is Quantitative Trading Strategies (QTS). In QTS, Kestner attempts to establish an objective method for trading all markets from a quantitative perspective. Most notably, the concept of the K Ratio is introduced as an attempt to improve upon the industry-standard Sharpe ratio. In addition to writing, Kestner works as an Equity Derivatives Trader.
