Leander Watts is an American writer. He is the author of four young adult novels, published by Houghton Mifflin. Watts grew up an old order Mennonite and his experiences in this culture are seen as a major influence on his work. He graduated from the State University of New York at Geneseo, and currently lives in the Burnt-Over district of New York.
