If you enjoy a romance novel for the romance itself, love slowly being discovered, then this is the book to read. There are no love scenes, but rather a simple, basic love story that touches your heart. I really enjoyed this book and hope to read the other volumes.

Jeanetta Oke's writting are always great reading to the end. Good book. Quick book to read if you are traveling.
I really enjoyed reading this book. It is about young widow that marries a man to be a mama for his young child but she finds so much more.

Good book. A little different than movie but still good.
My cover looks different from this one, but it's the same book. This is a wonderful story, full of love, Christian growth, and dealing with hard circumstances by meeting them with faith. Not to mention the whole prairie-western thing! :) This book was made into the first of three Hallmark movies and is the first in a series of three books. It's wonderful!

This is the story of Marty, a young,vibrant and independent girl of nineteen who travels west with her new husband,seeking adventure and fortune.You will ache with Marty when,in the same way as many of her pioneer sisters,the venture turns to tragedy and Marty is left alone to learn firsthand the lesson of pain,heartache,frustration and anger.
Very light romantic read. This is a book club recommendation. Great for the beach.
