This book was laugh-out-loud funny for me. Gabrielle and Joe were both a little outrageous and their interplay was humorous...more funny were the family scenes. I also loved Joe's bird...its antics made me laugh more than once throughout the book.
I've enjoyed all of Rachel Gibson's books and this one was no exception. It was a light, quick read. Good when you are in need a a lighthearted laugh.
Opposites DO attract in this entertaining story about an undercover cop Joe and his confidential informant Gabrielle.
Vintage Rachel Gibson. Funny story with sexy hero. I highly recommend.
Edgy, sexy, fast-paced romance
Good sexy and widly romatic book by Rachel Gibson!!
I loved this book. The characters are so entertaining!
I love Rachel Gibson's light hearted, easy reading style of writing.
Her couples have great chemistry and the conversations are always witty.
This one ranks right up there at the top.
Joe Shanahan and Gabrielle Breedlove are as different as cops and robbers; and he is not the marrying kind of course. But the good guy gets his woman in the end.
This is the 2007 reissue from "Little Black Dress publishers" - # 0755337468.
The original issue is #038087157, from Avon. its cover image is of the girl on the couch.
It must be love is highly recommended. My favorite book by Rachel G is "See Jane Score".
I enjoy all of rachel gibson's stories.
This was a fun book by Gibson. Of course you have to suspense quite a bit of belief in our justice system in the beginning. But I kind of knew it would be a nice, wacky story when Joe has a stand off with a goose. The family and bird scenes are funny, especially Joe's family. Unsure why Gibson made the bad guy so unrepentant. It might have been better if he wasn't so crazy and was just materialistic. The characters are likable enough and I totally agree that painting hands and feet are the pits.
Love this book! Another great one by Rachel Gibson!
Another good book by Rachel Gibson with a romance between an informant and a cop.
Funny characters and a fun read!
Fun, sexy, and wildly romantic.
"Edgy, sexy, fast-paced romance." - Jayne Ann Krentz
any girl that can bring down the sexy cop is a 10 in my book
"If it's fun, sexy and wildly romantic, then it must be Rachel Gibson!"
~Meh~. Pretty average chicklit. The setting in Boise made it interesting enough for me to finish, but there's not much else going for it.
Lots of romance & lots of laughs. Loved it.
Undercover cop Joe Shanahan\'s bad luck hit bottom the morning he stared up into the face of sexy suspect Gabrielle Breedlove. She\'d blown his cover---brought him down with a can of hairspray---and now his new assignment was to pose as her boyfriend. But spending as much time as possible with the utterly irresistible New Age beauty caused unexpected complications. To make matters worse, his matchmaking sisters are picking out china patterns.
Joe\'s brooding good looks and T-shirt-straining muscles might be easy on the eyes, but how could Gabrielle be attracted to a straight-laced detective who\'s determined to find evidence to arrest her? Still, he invades her dreams and when they share a transcendent lovemaking experience, Gabrielle knows it must be love.
