The announcement hangs in the center of the huge bulletin board at school. The printing creeps and drips down the page, and seems to Mariah to glow with fingerprints, evil-crusted whorls of dark plans, and sick thoughts.

Night Class, the announcement reads.
If she'd known what the class would be like, she would never have signed up. Because it is a class like no other.
