Takes place in the wild, wild west. When they were both adolescents, Luke saves Charity and her doll from drowning. She grants him one wish; however, he chooses not to collect it. He changes his mind some 15 years later when he's become a bounty-hunter/gunslinger and she the daughter of a wealthy landowner. This is a good story.

Linda Lael Miller is a great story teller, the characters in this story are very real, and you get caught up in their life, very enjoyable, I am looking forward to the next book by this author. Also found each approach she takes is totally different from the last. Good Read.

I think this was a very good book. I admire the way the Charity holds out for Luke. Luke needs to come to terms with who he is, what he has become, and what he feels for Charity and luckily for him, she is still waiting when he finally comes back. Its a nice story. You should read it.

As always, Linda Lael Miller did it again. This story was one I could not put down until I was finished. It is definitely a keeper.
