For the most part this was a really good book. Unfortunately (at least in my opinion), the author devoted way too much time talking about collections of porn and erotica, and his (and his friends') sex lives. Also, the second to last chapter is basically nothing more than a rant against the mega bookstores and how they have put the independent bookseller out of business. He's right, but it wasn't worth a whole chapter.

This is a pleasure read for book lovers. His understanding of the desire to physically possess a favorite books makes for a shared sense of camaraderie with the authors and others who have read this book. The name-dropping might annoy some - but was more appetizer than irritant to this reader. The time I invested in this book was well worth it to me.

I found this to be a boring read, I couldn't get past the 4th chapter. Most of the time I force myself to read through a book no matter how boring/hard/uninteresting it is, but with the particular book i felt that it didn't have enough interesting qualities to continue reading.

I hope someone else can enjoy it.
