Ever wonder what would have happened if the Black plague never occured or Gallileo made up with the Catholic Church? This book poses several alternate histories to answer these questions. There were a couple of stories that I felt I needed to know more history to understand, but overall they were easy to read and really made me think.
Interesting alternative histories--definitely for the history-loving or technically-inclined SF fan.
I enjoyed some of the stories, but too many ended with me saying 'Huh, wonder what the author was trying to say'. It was not what I expected.
