This was indeed an odd story. Well done and it held my interest. I liked the setting and the story of Abe's early life and his childhood. I put off getting this book for a long time and when I finally got it, I read it in a few days.

Slow start. I almost laid it aside several times, but then I had to pick it up again. Very good middle, disappointing end, but there is another book which I am waiting for. Jack McDevitt is a very interesting author. I look for him now.

College. We all know what college is all about right? Either we have been there ourselves, or know people who have and heard their stories. Well, we were wrong! In Applied Mythology, Jody Lynn Nye shows us just what we missed because of all that studying we did and those frat and sorority parties we attended. Applied Mythology is an omnibus collection of Mythology 101, Mythology Abroad, and Higher Mythology. There are elves in the University Library! Also Leprechauns, sprites, and a few other things. Keith Doyle is a business major who still believes in myths and legends. Whenever he has to write a paper for a class he writes it on aliens and elves. Imagine his surprise and delight when he discovers the little people living in the sub-basement of the old library. Also, imagine his anger in realizing that they will be forced to leave when the library is torn down for the modernization of the campus. Finally, imagine his horror when he realizes just who has been leading this campaign for the modernization of the campus-him!

An excellent story. Even my son enjoyed it. Her characters are well rounded and Raine, the female 'lead' is determined to do things her way which I like. Her main problem, is which hot guy does she want.....?

Featuring Sanct Germain in Rome where he meets one of the three loves of his long immortal life, Olivia. The historical background is excellent, I had to look up several terms she used. As always, an excellent read. Much more historical novel than vampire novel and all the better for it.

It was interesting to read about the adventures of a Granddaughter of a character I was familiar with in other books. Well written, the characters seemed like real people, reacting like people I know. Excellent reading.
