A Reporter's Life
Author: Walter Cronkite
THIS IS A CONDENSED BOOK. IT IS NOT THE ORIGINAL COMPLETE TEXT. For more than thirty years Walter Cronkite told us the way it was, at home and abroad. Now he offers his personal reminiscences, ranging from the earliest days of television to this history-shaping coverage of such events as the Kennedy assassination and the first moon landing.

A fascinating book by one of the finest news correspondents ever. Cronkite's behind the scenes look at the infancy of television and the news reporting styles as we know them are great reading. There will never be another reporter like him.

I started reading this book but found Walter's witing style too boring, and stopped. Recently , I read a reference in Andy Rooney's book, "My War" stating that Walter Cronkite was a great reporter but not a great writer. Now I know why.

I read part of it, it's full of anecdotes of the powerful from the 1950s and 1960s.
