Jane Bunker has left her job as a detective in Miami and moved to Green Haven, Maine to be a marine insurance adjuster. She wanted a quieter life and to escape from some horrible event that is never described. On her third day in town, the town drunk turns up dead and Jane just can't help it if her detective instincts kick in and she sets out to solve the murder. There are a lot of fun, quirky characters in this book and a mystery that kept me guessing until the end. There are also a lot of loose ends left lying around - which makes me think that perhaps this is planned to be the first book in a series.
