I live 70 miles from Wharton, so this book was very interesting to me. Foote's history of Wharton and his family was honest, yet warm. An easy read.

This was an interesting book written as letters to different people. That style allowed me to get to know the people in the book.

A good book, but since I've read all the other Miss Julia series, the formula is pretty much the same, and therefore getting a little boring.
