A joy today, as it was when I first read it 35 years ago. Not to be missed.
Are you KIDDING me, Alexander? This book doesn't even compare to the movie!! :-) This book should be a must-read for all kids. Or any adult who somehow missed it when they were young. Same for Charlotte's Web and Trumpet of the Swans, for that matter.
The story of a mouse on an adventure in New York City.
This is the classic story of Stuart Little that most of us read when we were children. I loved it back then and still love it now. Great book.
A classic - imaginative, thought provoking, fun. Illustrations by Garth Williams.
This is a great book. My son read it for a 5th grade extra credit assignment and really enjoyed it.
One of my most favorite books as a child!
Terrific Book. A great read aloud for the family.
I read this book to my 5 year old grandson and he loved it. I just think it's a little out dated, and the ending leaves you hanging.
The book that started the movie! Children will love reading about Stuart and his family. It was one of my son's favorite books as a child.
How terribly surprised the Little family must have been when their second child turned out to be a small mouse. Apparently familiar with the axiom that "when in New York City, anything can happen," the Littles accept young Stuart into their family unquestioningly--with the exception of Snowbell the cat who is unable to overcome his instinctive dislike for the little mouse. They build him a bed from a matchbox, and supply him with all of the accoutrements a young mouse could need. Mrs. Little even fashions him a suit, because baby clothes would obviously be unsuitable for such a sophisticated mouse. In return, Stuart helps his tall family with errant Ping-Pong balls that roll outside of their reach.
What a great read. E.B. White had a great imagination that needs to be shared with the world. I would recommend this book to everyone. Young and old alike.
illustrated by Garth Williams. What the movie was based on and not the other way around
childrens book by author of charlottes web
This is not an ordinary mouse. He lives in New York with his parents, his brother George and Snowbell the cat.
What a cute book... Stewert Litte is so adorable!
Funny story by the author of Charlotte's web.
Stuart Little is a mouse born to a family of humans. If you have seen the movie it is not at all like the book. Stuart Little is an adventerous little mouse whose best friend is a bird named Margalo. When Margalo goes missing Stuart goes on an adventure to find his friend.
Honestly, one of the best kids books I think there is.
I wouldn't even consider giving it away except that it seems I've ended up with multiple copies.
Heartwarming, character-rich, and quirky enough to mention a woman giving birth to a mouse.
Wonderful children's classic.
No ordinary mouse, Stuart, born to a human family living in NYC with his parents, older brother George, and Snowball the cat. Although shy and thoughtful, he's a lover of adventure.
This is a great story! Two of the highest readers in my fourth grade class are reading this book. There are many vocabulary words and references that they are not familiar with. It is proving to be a good learning experience for them.
Really good read for entire family!
great strory if ytou love the movie
