I have read many books about the Romanovs and the Russian Revolution. I do recommend this book and the two preceeding it if you want to get to some insight into why the revolution came about. This series provides information about activities during the century before that led to the revolution.

The book helps you realize the corruption among the ruling classes and the helplessness that the lower classes felt in Russia.

You also will come to care for the major characters and their love stories.

I plan on reading the remaining books in the series.

The saga continues to unfold. Keep reading it only gets better. If you are sincere in your reading then it's no doubt you'll do a lot of soul searching and realized you're truly blessed.
