I'm still reading Robyn Carr's The Wanderer. It's pretty good - lots of characters and side stories going on - over halfway through and the 'main' couple just met so that's how slow this one is! up next is hopefuly the Jayne Ann Krentz library book I forgot about - have about 4 library books in book form and not used to those now that I've been almost exclusively ebook format...may see if one of the libraries has it in ebook...they didn't when I checked a month or so ago. I sent off for the library of philadelphia and STILL no card - I know they said it would be a bit longer wait but I paid for it the beginning of March I think or end of February.

I'm reading Rock Chick Reckoning by KA.  Mace & Stella's book.  Have to say I really like Stella.  Mace really screwed himself when he left her.

I just finished Own the Wind and while I agree I missed the length she put in previous books, the way it was written, I was ready for it to be over. I really liked it, but where was the gut wrenching, heart breaking parts? She seriously is a genius at that and I missed it. But even without that it was still a good book. I also love when she pulls in characters from other series. You definitely need to have read the Rock Chick and Man series to fully appreciate this book. I can't wait for the next one.

I'm not sure what's next, I have several to choose from.

Rebecca... I agree about OTW.  It wasn't as OMG heart-wrenching (in a good OR bad way) as her other books.

I'm reading For You and THIS one is definitely heart-wrenching.  I'm about 75% and I am loving it!

well I personaly enjoyed less heart wrenching LOL! yes I'm stil a wimp! blush and Sherri I could barely stand Stella - I mean she had Mace run ragged with one stupid thing after another and knew she burned him out. I felt more sorry for him! it was still my least fave of the series - the next book has Sadie and I think she's probablyl my fave heroine.

still reading The Wanderer - luckily work has been semi slow today!

I can't wait to read Hector & Sadie's story... but I'm forcing myself to!  LOL   I want to read that closer to when Ally & Ren's book comes out.  (July is it?)

I finished the second in The 'Burg series, At Peace. O. M. G.   Where can I find me a Joe Callahan?!?!?!?!  Oh man, I loved it. I'm running into a dilemma now though. I really should read the books I borrowed from the ebook vb....but I really want to read the next in this series, Golden Trail.  What to do, what to do...

Sorry, Melissa, it's got to be Golden Trail.  First, because IIRC, you love reunion stories.  It's a great reunion story.  Second, because after that you get Games of the Heart, which I LOVED.  Looks like the ebook vb books will have to wait.

Games of the Heart is Mike's story.  It's not a true "reunion" story, but close enough.  It's one of my favorite KA's of all time.

Finished 2 books yesterday. The Duke's Perfect Wife by Jennifer Ashley. That one was a skimmer. Not nearly as good as the first 3 in the series. Relied way too much on flash back type scenes or memories. 2.5 stars. Also finished Embrace the Darkness by Alexandra Ivy. Now that one was excellent paranormal romance. 5 stars.

The other night I was browsing books I had put on my Fire and stayed up way too late reading Blood Memories by Barb Hendee. Not sure I should have started it but I got hooked. These are vampires who kill their victims, though. No romance and not sure if it will have a kind of happy ending. I am very sympathetic to the character, though. So I will probably plough on.

Started Ride the Fire by Pamela Clare, the 2013 edition. So far, very good, though the prologue was very creepy.

I read Sex Games by Natalie Acres over the weekend. Terrible. Really, really terrible. I felt like I was missing something the entire time, and she wrote Patrick like a Jekyll and Hyde character, but not on purpose.

Also finished Lauren Dane's Reading Between the Lines, which was excellent...wish she had made this into a series.

I've started Party of Three (H.O.T. Cops, Bk 2) by Lacey Alexander but I'm just not feelin' it.

Gina a lot of those Siren publishing books are just complete garbage. I'll make a note to myself not to bother with Natalie Acres.

Anne, I always read the back of her books and like the concept, but this one was just a complete a fail for me. The first one wasn't as bad.

Read an oldie, Painted by the Sun. Was pretty good, interesting premise. Nice heart-tugger if you like kids in books.

Now I'm just sort of killing time waiting to start Clockwork Princess. I need to finish up reviews, let my mind clear, if you know what I mean. Also, reread the ending of Clockwork Prince. :-)

Rock Chick Reckoning was fantastic.  I cried.  My favorite by KA.  I'm also holding off on Hector's book for a little bit.  If I can!

Sherri - don't cave or I will!  LOL   If I hear you talking about Hector and Sadie I'm going to scream.  You need to read the Dream Man series now.  Hawk Delgado... YUM!

I'm almost finished with For You.  Have had NO reading time and had a bad headache last night.  Ugh.  My daughter has softball games 6 out of the next 7 days, so free time is NOT happening.  yikes!

I read Real by Katy Evans and I loved it, even with all the licking. I can't wait for the next one that continues on with the story of Brooke and Remington. Talk about an alpha male!

Just finished up Paradise 21 by Aubrie Dionne. Really great scifi romance! I totally loved it. There are I think 5 books so far, and I don't really think they have to be read in order.

I have not been reading much lately, but I did manage to read Higgins' The Best Man and finished it a few days ago.  Willa, I waited til I was done before reading your GR review, and while I don't think I was quite as annoyed by it as you were, I very much agreed with most of your assessment.  ***Spoiler....I was very much icked out by the thing with the dad's date and thought it was highly tacky/inappropriate to use a transgendered character as the butt of a joke.  I usually enjoy Higgins' "bad date" scenes but that one was over the top. ***End spoiler..  Apart from that one thing though, I liked the book.  The bickering grandparents didn't bother me- they actually reminded me of my own grandparents, lol.  Levi didn't exactly make me swoon, but he turned out to be a pretty solid guy in the end.

I just got Dahl's Too Hot to Handle in the mail yesterday so will probably start that next.  I wasn't crazy about the last one, so I hope this one is better.

I forgot I had started reading the Be Mine anthology, so finished that up yesterday.  It was ok- I'm not a huge fan of anthologies, but two of the stories were by authors whose series I read.  The Victoria Dahl story was ok, the Shannon Stacey story was good, and the Jennifer Crusie story was so bad I DNFd it halfway through.  Crusie is hit or miss for me, but I had hoped this one would be better, as I kind of like workplace romance stories.  But the hero came off as smarmy, despite how hot he was supposed to be- I don't care how hot you are, if you're leering at me, peeking down my blouse at a meeting, and making suggestive comments during a business dinner, that's not cool.  Meh.
