I am sort of new to PBS, and after my initial 10-book entering and the subsequent  mailings, I've usually gotten in requests one at a time - today there were four! I'm not complaining, as the credits will be well-appreciated.

What's the most PBS requests you've received in one day?

this might not be the right forum for this question... but oh well =)

I seem to get mine in spurts! Usually I get one or two per week. Then suddenly I'll get 2-3 per day for a few days at a time. When I first started I was so surprised because LOTS of my books got requested. It was later I learned the value of the new member and their wish list books.

I'm glad it's slowed down a little!

The most requests I ever had in a day was 6, but that was because I was offering a deal in the bazaar.

I can't remember...I know it was not long after I joined. I once sent 27 books in one post office run, but those were not all requested the same day, more like over 3-4 days. Nowadays my bookshelf is much smaller and I mostly send wishlisted books but usually post them just one or two at a time as I read them. As others say, it tends to be 'streaky.' I might go a week without one request and then suddenly have four.

Last  week I posted about 25 books that I had been waiting to post. A few were wish listed at one time, but not when I posted them.  That evening I had 5 orders and 5 the next afternoon. Nothing for a couple of days, then 2 more. Today I had 3 wish list books offered to me..lol.

I had 9 books in one day once. I offered some books in one of the WL threads and then had an FIFO order as well.

Coming off of vacation hold always seems to trigger orders for me.  For books that have been sitting on my bookshelf for months, if not years.

It is not unusual for me to get 6 or 7 in one day -- but that doesn't happen all the time. Usually I will have one or two a day, and I think that is partially because I have been a member for 3-1/2 years now and it has taken that long for some of my books to reach to top of the FIFO line. I also read about a book at day so I am constantly, almost daily, adding a book or two to my bookshelf. I also order quite a few books from England that I can't get or get tired of waiting years for here at PBS and when I post those, even if they are not wishlisted, they tend to be ordered quickly because they are by authors that so rarely are offered here.

I am not sure about in a day.  I had 32 books ordered from me by one person in one day.  There were no deals involved.   He was ordering for a library.  He sent 32 duplicate thank you PMs.

I decided to list a bunch of my crochet pattern books - maybe about 20 or so of them.  I think I got about 10 requests the next day.  They were ALL gone within a week!

When I first joined, I entered about 30-35 books very quickly, and got 25 requests the first three days (14 in the first 24 hours). It was a busy time in my life and I hadn't anticipated such a response. I nearly had to let it go, knowing this would spoil my chances of ever participating in Paperback Swap. Fortunately my husband stepped in and helped me get it done. Now I know to consider my commitments before entering new books. :)

From FIFO and checking my shelf: 2 books at one time.

From the WL threads or mailing to friends: probably no more than 5 or maybe 6 at one time.

I learned the hard way that if I post a lot of cool books I'm going to get a lot of requests, which require a lot of postage, so I don't post books until I know I can afford to mail out a bunch. And then sometimes, in lean times, I have to put my bookshelf on hold for a few days to sort of regulate how many requests I get in one week.  I hate having to do that because that means I get low on credits too! Once, after a frenzied $3 a bag FOL sale, I got 13 request within a day or so.  Basically I was grabbing anything that was in postable condition and was truly amazed what was wish listed or requested very quickly.   If I try to anticipate what might be wish listed at a yard sale or thrift store I'm usually wrong so the "wild grab" seems to work better.

When I first joined, after the wish list books went out the door, I got a request maybe once every two months.  I guess I've been on the FIFO list long enough (approximately a year) because all of a sudden I've been getting lots of requests.  The most I have gotten in a day was 4.

Cara, you might be interested in the PBS Top 50.  It doesn't list by day, but you can see which members have the most completed transactions for the last 7or 30 days, and how many transactions they had.
