Little love story.

About two young (love) southeners (Sailor Riply and his girlfriend Lula Fortune) on the road. He's 23 and shes late teens(?)

He's supposed to be on Parole but they're kinda on the run - mostly from her mamma. Mamma is Marietta and is about as deep south as you can get. She's got a family friend who's a PI and she's got him out looking for them.

159 pages of easy Southen and (later) Texas dialouge. Author Barry Gifford has the southern sayings and mannerism's down pat. Easily puts you right there next to the characters.

Very enjoyable read. Very enjoyable story.

Highly recommend for some light reading.
