I ordered a book (only one in the system) and the gal accepted, printed the wrapper and marked it sent.  It went lost, never made it to me.  A few days after it goes lost the gal PM's me to tell me she's found the book and if I want the book, she'll send it and would I please buddy her a credit when I get it.  Well, I didn't respond to her, but did send in a message to tptb to let them know this gal accepted the request, marked it mailed, kept me off the WL for a month, let it go lost, and finally, after all that, admits she never had the book in her hands, never mailed it, and had just found it.  I asked if there was a way to bypass this person, should she ever list the book again, and was told, of course, no.

So, I'm on the WL and of course she posts it again and my sucky options are to accept it or decline it.  If I decline, I'm off the WL, and if I accept, well, why would I have any interest in dealing with this person again?  She lied, she cheated the site, cheated me, and tptb clearly don't care since she never got a time out and is allowed to repost the very same book she alledgedly sent out to me.

I really wish there was a way to bypass a sender without being punished by being removed from the WL line.

Add an RC, and PM her asking her to say her book doesn't meet conditions. Tell her no offense, but that after your last experience that you'd rather wait for it to be posted again by someone else. If there are other wishers, it shouldn't bother her too much.

What is the book? Maybe one of us has it and can post it to you.

Jane, thanks for the good idea.  Sadly, I replied that I no longer wanted the book before I started this thread.  There were no other wishers, so it is in the system.  I suppose I could do as you suggest, add an RC, and ask her to say her book doesn't meet conditions.  Then I can be back on the WL.  This is a rules book for a game, and the rules are found on the internet as well, so I don't really need this book, I just wanted it to keep with the game.  I could just as easily print out  the rules and directions, I just prefered them in book form.  Good idea tho, I'll think about it today, perhaps that's the way to go.......
