A fascinating little history book I found at an estate auction---what did it feel like to be an American in the decade after World War 1? This book helps you understand the emotions that swirled around President Wilson's support for the League of Nations, the demands of the new labor unions, the Red Scare, Lindbergh's solo flight across the Atlantic, the "sexual revolution" of the 20's, Prohibition and the rise of the Mafia, etc., etc. Lots of forgotten anecdotes in here that deserve to be remembered.

An easy-to-read study of a fascinating time in American history. It is unique in that it was published in 1931, so the author actually lived through the events he describes. Very much enjoyed this book.
