If you like Rock and Roll history, this is great book. It goes through each act that played at Woodstock, with interviews from band members and other festival participants. Commentary by the author, who was an FM DJ at the time, puts it all in context, and provides a feel for what was going on in music and the country in the 1960's.

Set in London's SOHO in the 1950s, the story is full of action, mystery, and a bit of romance. The Doctor gets in deep trouble with malicious aliens and earthling gangsters more often than usual. And it makes you think... A good read.

This book presents a view of Batman that I, a longtime fan, have never considered. What is Batman's life outside of crime fighting? Does he have one? The answer is "not really", which does does not make for a healthy balanced human being. There is still plenty of action, and villains to thwart, but this inside look at Batman's personal life is interesting as well.

My first experience with this author/series. Great twisted-serial- killer-hunter fun. Already bought another book in the series and will be looking for others.

Another great book by one of my favorite authors (or co-author in this case), Neal Stephenson. The FBI, CIA, NSA, Turkish spies, and an Iowa deputy sheriff all play a role in combating Iraqi terrorists in a small mid-western town. But while the powers-that-be in Washington are deciding whether to believe that trouble is brewing in Wapsipinicon Iowa, the deputy is on his own... A real page turner.

If you like William Gibson cyberpunk novels, you'll like this one. Less emphasis on computer technology, more about bio-engineering (gone very wrong, in this story). A gripping read.

I liked the first book of this series and I liked this one even more. Complicated scenarios and plenty of action in exotic locales. Reminds me of Neal Stephenson's Cryptonomicon. Highly recommend it.
