Deb - I'm gonna try and help you out here.....

Some of you may not know this yet but Deb is making SS assignments and there are many of you who do not have any books, etc listed in the Secret Santa list (gasp). Get with it because some of us are READY TO GO SHOPPING!!!!!!! If you don't make out your lists, you will just have to take your chances and who knows what some of us may come up with. devil

Thanks, Jeanne.

Yep, please post those lists here as soon as you can -- otherwise I may have to get the wet noodle out!

Well, I see that SOME of you took heed - I'm sure that Santa really appreciates that. heart OTHERS are still lolly- gagging so c'mon c'mon! Unless you're sketch artists, I don't know what that lump of "charcoal" (or coal) would do for you! wink

I posted this elsewhere but I really want to get the word out so am posting in different threads:

When you post your list of most wanted books, please note any allergies (pet hair, smoke, etc.) that you need your Secret Santa to be aware of.

I just ordered my giftee's books.

I will be finished before Thanksgiving again this year.  Then I can sit back and enjoy the season.

You ladies are fast shoppers! :) What are your favorite sites for shopping? Amazon is my normal go-to, but I'm looking for alternatives. (And yes, I realize I'm opening a whole can of worms by asking for book shopping sites, haha. But you know, I'm on a complete reading halt and I welcome the shopping frenzy that will ensue, haha.)

Mary, I'm glad you're home! :)

I have found this site very beneficial when looking for used books, especially older books. http://www.bookfinder.com

I have lots of luck with www.abesbooks.com.  Very often less expensive than Amazon.

Really appreciate the new book search websites ... one of my giftee's books was canceled as no longer available! So disappointed!

Here's another one. And I second AbeBooks--that is most often where the bookfinder site takes you.

Okay! As long as I don't get another notice that the book I've ordered is CANCELED, I will be in good shape and everything is "systems go"! Woohoo! I just LOVE  doing this!
