Book Description:

Book 5 in the Bastion Club stories. I Really like Stephanie Lauren, because, usually, her women are always independent strong women and her men don't realize that they are the type of women they want and need until it's too late. However, in this one the man had to work hard to convince this lady that she wanted to marry him. I liked it!

A Bastion Club Novel - this one is about Deverell, and the one women who is "perfect" for him. He just has to win her one step at a time.

Fifth book of the Bastion Club series about Deverell, Viscount Paignton matching wits with his future wife, Phoebe Malleson. A malicious powerful man is bent on disrupting Phoebe's secret cause...and Deverell must discover what it is before it's too late.

Love this series of books by Laurens. Each one stands alone and each encourages you to read the others in the Bastion Club series.

I enjoyed this book-This is a Bastion Club Novel. I like this author, Stephanie Laurens' work very much. Recent book-published 2006.
Loved this 5th book in the Bastion Club series ... one of her BEST books to date!!
Another well written Regency with a plot examining modern dilemmas set in a different era - enjoyed well developed characters.
