Book Description:
And you don't fall in love with a werewolf. It interferes with your work. Especially when you're a preternatural expert, like me. My business brings me up close and personal with all shapes and sizes of monsters. And not all of them want to kill me.

Take, for instance, the local pack of lycanthropes -- that's werewolves to you. A number of them are missing, and they've come to me for help. Maybe because I'm dating the leader of the pack. I've survived a lot -- from jealous vampires to killer zombies -- but this love thing may kill me yet...

Tha further adventures of Anita Blake, The Executioner. This one is very good, less erotic than her later novels. A good combo of mystery, a little romance, and zombie butt kicking. I helps to read these books in order, as the character relations develop along a definte timeline. Jumping back and forth can be a little confusing.

I thought the second book in the Anita Blake series was much better than the first. With several plot lines going on at the same time and non-stop action, this book will keep you in suspense. Considerably more gruesome than the first, so young readers beware.

The Laughing Corpse was even better than the first book of the Anita Blake series (Guilty Pleasures). The vampires actually take a backseat to zombies in this one but you don't have time to miss them. There are EVIL villains, scary monsters, action and big trouble for Anita in every single chapter. I couldn't put it down and can't wait to read the next installment of Anita's adventures.

I love all the Anita Blake novels. Although some I definitely don't read at night!

This is a pretty graphic/gruesome vampire series. I like the tough girl main character, Anita. This book had less vampire and more zombie/monster creatures in it.

I just cannot get into this series...maybe to dark for me.

this copy has a different cover but the same isbn. it's the 1994 original copy, in as pristine condition as possible given the age.

Harold Gaynor offers Anita Blake a million dollars to raise a 300-year-old zombie. Knowing it means a human sacrifice will be necessary, Anita turns him down. But when dead bodies start turning up, she realizes that someone else has raised Harold's zombie--and that the zombie is a killer. Anita pits her power against the zombie and the voodoo priestess who controls it. Notice to Hollywood: forget Buffy the Vampire Slayer; Anita Blake is the real thing.
