Light reading. I am not sure I completely liked it, maybe it was that there were too many embarrassing situations the herioine got herself into, maybe too many references by the heroine about her weight (it got annoying). But it was humorous and overall I would recommend it to someone looking for a fun read. Sometimes I couldn't believe the things that came out of the heroine's mouth.

I was really looking forward to reading this book. Cute sounding twist on the norm. I tried, I really tried to like this book. I just could not seem to be able to like the main characters enough to care overly much.

This is the second book by Macalister I have read. There were parts that I laughed and then got the down right giggles. I do not normaly laugh at romance novels but this was funny. Parts of the book are a bit choppy and the story line sometimes gets lost in the relationship of the characters but still well worth the read. Murphy's law rules in the Corset Diaries.

Intriguing premise but falls flat and becomes a typical/traditional romance. Some of the 'modern' versus Victorian clashes were amusing, but in the end it's what I call a dispoable book -- one I don't regret reading, but feel no need to read again.

Loved this book! I can relate to an overweight, insecure-about-her-body heroine, & I chuckled through the whole book!

very cute & sassy. It was fun to have a heroine that was a not so perfect size with a more than perfect heart. The only thing I wish was thatshe hadn't wined so much about her not so perfect figure, but then again, thats what most of us normal chicks do no matter what our size.

No wman in her right mind would consent to wearing a corset for a month. Especially a "skinny-challenged" woman like myself. But dreams of being debt-free danced in my head when I received the offer to appear on a reality TV show.
"A Month in the Life of a Victorian Duke" is about real people--like me-- pretending to live on an English estate, circa 1879. Sounds fun, no? Well, it wasn't all it was cracked up to be. We're talking no televisions, no cell phones, no PMS medications. And did I mention the corsets? No breathing for a full month. Luckily, when I met the real-life duke who was to be my pretend husband, he took my breath away....
In a manor in which everyone must strictly follow the Victorian lifestyle, things were bound to go wrong. Like when some harmless lust trned into that other thing....
