Celeste Achterhof (CelesteJak) - , : BookMooch.comI just wanted to recommend one other book swapping site...BookMooch.com---- This is another free book swapping site and I have had some wonderful luck finding older and rarer books that are hard to locate on this site. It is a worldwide trading site (although you can opt out and only trade within your own country if you prefer). It is much easier to earn credits on BookMooch because you earn credits for posting books all the time (rather than only when you first sign up) as well as for sending your books out to others. You also get a percentage of a credit every time you leave feedback so earning credits is really easy there. They do have a ratio requirement for trading but it is easy to meet. It is not quite as fancy as PBS, no postage purchasing online that I have found and you must copy addresses into a word program (I use Wordpad) if you want to print the outgoing addresses on a computer label but the ease with which you can earn points and their really great search engine along with the ability to post condition notes on the books you are offering up for trade more than makes up for it's little foibles. I have had really good luck finding many hard to locate books which I've needed to fill in specific gaps in a book series on Bookmooch which really comes in handy. Unfortunately they do not have a boxing program (yet) but the ease with which you can earn points makes up for that. Their genre search isn't great, but I've noticed that no site's genre search is very accurate or complete. They have a direct link to Amazon where you can find ISBN numbers very easily and they make it very simple to post books without them. If you like PBS you really should take a look at Bookmooch.com because they fill in many of the gaps that PBS suffers from. PBS is a good site with a lot of little extras, like the cursor appearing automatically in the ISBN box that Bookmooch doesn't have for example, but Bookmooch offers a much needed option when you are looking for a specific book or have lots of books to post and want to earn credits for posting every book, every time. They also have a random distribution system for books that are very popular and on many wish lists rather than having to just wait in line. Some people really like that when there are two hundred people in front of you waiting for the same book. The computer just randomly picks from the list to offer the book to those on the wish list. Like I said, it is an interesting site that has a something different to offer. It is certainly worth taking a look at if you are a book swapping addict like me!! Just wanted to pass it along. Best Wishes, Celeste

Celeste Achterhof (CelesteJak) - , : The Box of Books ProgramI just wanted to take a minute to write about how wonderful the Box Of Books program is. It is the best eight dollar investment you will make. I have made some wonderful trades and met some wonderful people on the boxing program. It is well worth folks taking a look into it...a great way to trade multiple books without any credits being used. You can't ask for a better deal than that!!
