This is a long story about two troubled families that lived next store to each other in the suburbs.
It is a grim story.
The author definitely has some insight into the down side of the human condition. The story has it all....dead babies, depression, alcoholism, insanity, child abuse, assault, physical injury caused by assault, marital infidelity...it just goes on and on.
Find something else to read. Your days will be happier for having skipped this one.

This is a really beautiful story. I highly recommend it to any romantic soul in the world. If I was involved in movie-producing, I think it would make a wonderful film!

Great instruction book if you are not particularly tech-savy. Shows how much you can do with it for fun and business, and makes it easy.

Great memoirs of teen adventures and mishaps of the patriarch of a family of engineers. Funny and fascinating.

Extremely well written. It takes place in New York City's Harlem section which, when I lived in New York City many years ago, was a dangerous slum of what was once glamorous buildings. The book did not mention that it has been recently restored to multi-million dollar residences.
