I got this book because I love the gaudy 60's print quilt on the front cover. What can I say...I am a sucker for Retro!! Inside I found many treasures. It is full of fun ideas you wont find anywhere else. This book even teaches how to turn your child's art projects (using fabric crayons)into fun quilting projects. It may be old but it is a treasure.

I read this book on a fluk, I couldn't find anything else I liked at the library. I loved it, and I am in my 40's. It kept me intrigued. Although, I do love a good supernatural thriller, I felt this was a fantastic book for anyone of any age!

Bertrice Small is the best Romance writer. Her books come alive. Every book I had read by her, including the Innocent has been steamy and adventurous. I could not put The Innocent down. I had to read it from front to back in two days and one night!!

This book is about the TWA flight 80 that went down under mysterious conditions. Although the ending is stated to be a fiction, it was never truly discovered why this plane appeared to be shot out of the sky by an earth to sky missile. I could not put this book down. Now I am a sucker for a good conspiracy theory story, but this book has it all. Great weekend book for just kicking back and reading cover to cover!

A wonderful and adventurous historical Romance. Kari is a strong-willed, quick witted character. She is not a weak, silly girl. I love this book.

I have just started quilting. I have made a few of the easier quilts but was not ready to start the hard stuff yet. I learned a lot from reading this book. It explains in detail how to make the pieces fit together easily and correctly. This book contains many ideas that I would not have thought of on my own. In addition, It has some great quilt block patterns.

I am a beginning quilter and I learned many new techniques from this book. I made two of the projects and they turned out great. I especially like the information given for every size, including crib and wall hangings. This books contains precise detail on the amount of fabric needed for each size and how many cuts to make. A good book for quilters of all levels.

I believe this book is an excellent attempt at giving readers a B rated look at addiction. I found some of the book realistic and other parts not as grounded in truth. It is as if Sheff tried to shield readers from some of the ugliness and grim related to addiction. Although he hints at some of this, he gives a muted picture. I know many addicts who were addicted for much longer periods of time than Nic went through between recovery periods. The world of Meth and Heroin gets much darker than what is portrayed in this book. In addition, Nic's parents were angry, but they still loved Nic. Many addicts no longer have family to turn to or to even hope to win back. I know many people felt this book was dark, but if you want to know the truth about addiction you will have to dig into much darker material than you will find here.

That being said. This could be a good book to read with your older teens in an effort to discuss the dangers related to drug use. It could be a tool for talking to them about drugs.
