Every book I read by Tracy is just so good! There is so much suspense; the plots are complicated & masterful; the endings satisfying. Her characters are just so well-drawn that you feel like you know them, that you just talked to them last week. They have problems like we do & some that are alien to us. They don't fall apart, but keep on fighting until the problem is mopped up. This particular book will raise the hair on the back of your neck, for the sheer awful audacity of the villains. That old cartoon line, "We have met the enemy and they are us," has new meaning in this book. (Might be "...they is us!")

Demons are Forever: Confessions of a Demon-Hunting Soccer Mom (Kate Connor, Bk 3)
Review Date: 7/21/2009

What a terrific book! It's great fun! Think: Buffy grows up, gets married, has a child, loses husband, retires from demon-chasing, remarries, then re-enters the "work force!" It's pure enjoyment, all the way through. There's just the right blend of menace, demon butt-kicking, and humor. Try it, you'll like it!

This author is as enjoyable as Crichton! It moves fast and the characters are interesting as people. The plot concerns an A.I. achieving sentience. He uses the latest research in the field and skillfully extrapolates into the near future. Great fun!

This is Meyers' best book yet! It starts out with a Jane Doe and follows her as she tries to figure out who she is and who's trying to kill her. It just gets more exciting from there! This is a Smith and Wetzon mystery, a great series. If you haven't tried it, you're in for a treat!

Milt Kovak has problems in his position as sheriff of Prophesy County. A dumb deputy, ex-wives, and now, 2 missing teens. Kidnapping or cult brainwashing? Or is ex-wife #2, whose son is one of the missing teens, overreacting? He'll figure it out and avoid entanglements with the ex-, mesquite trees, tall fences and angry bulls. A fun read!

Wow! This is great fun! Full of suspense, adventure: a hard journey well fought. Can't tell much of plot because it's all important to the plot and the denouement, but you won't be sorry you read it! Great summer read (anytime really, but it's great when you don't have to put it down and go to work)! Hope you'll try it and like it as much as I did!

If you like books about genetic tinkering that goes wrong, this is a great book! An entertaining disaster movie-ish premise about plastic-eating microbes. It's a fun read and gives you something to think about! I was unsure whether I'd like it, given the title, but I've learned not to judge a book by its cover!

Most enjoyable collection of crime short stories I've read in a while! Mary Higgins Clark, her sister, Carol, Janet Evanovich and Nancy Picard all have super stories in this book. I was really happy to read a story about Stephanie Plum, and one by Nancy Pickard. I love their books! All-in-all an entertaining read!

A "coming-of-age" for Judith, who grew up in a Jewish family. She is searching for a passionate, ecstatic kind of love. Ori has awakened desire in her & she wants to see if it will develop the way she wants. She follows Ori & his sister Jessie (who becomes her best friend/confidante) across America to England & then on to Jerusalem where she discovers for herself a way of living & loving that last a lifetime.

I had never read anything by Matthew Costello, but I gave it a try. It is a terrific book with an unusual premise! What would humans do if faced with a reality so different from ours that it could kill you? The aliens that inhabit that other reality don't mean us any good, either! If you like a book that stretches your imagination, this is the one! Happy reading!
