We used this book with my 7th grader as a homeschool unit. It has examples throughout from famous and not-so-famous people. We as a family believe good manners are essential to a good life; as does the author of this book.

Best feature: explanation of how little time it takes to write a thank you letter vs. the time the gift giver spent shopping for it.

This book truly covers everything for the person wanting to grow just a few edible plants (not an orchard's worth).

Honestly, the Rachel Lee story is REALLY lame, however, the other two are stellar enough to make it worth requesting this book!

Mable Hoffman is the go-to woman for crockpot cooking. This classic and her "light" cookbook are well-used in our household.

Fabulous - I'm a huge fan and find his works to be similar to one another, yet fresh.

The book was good - interesting to read about choosing to marry outside your family expectations.
The copy I received was in mediocre shape so I donated it to the Friends of the Library book sale instead of re-posting it.

Wow, this is a powerful collection of poems. Some are tear-jerkers (beware) and others are just really thoughtful. There are some snippets of lines that I marked to read aloud to family.

Projects include: origami dinosaurs, quilled paper picture frame, tissue boquet, rolled bead necklace, matchbox drawers, pinwheel "garden", fabulous flying fish mobile and more

This is good for the 6-12 year old set. My daughter did several of the projects & taught the girl scout troop how to do the paper quilling project.

NOTE: this book originally came with some supplies & those are not included.
