I know this is supposed to be one of those great true crime novels of all time, but I couldn't get into the trial details-and I didn't really agree with the outcome of the book-in fact, w/o telling many details, it made me mad.

I thought this was a really good read. The author had a lot of background information about Poddar and Tarasoff (the victim), which I like. I enjoyed learning about Poddar's culture and why Tarasoff's actions mislead him and fueled the fire of his jealously. The author also didn't paint Tarasoff as a perfect citizen like some non fiction crime books do, but I still felt she didn't deserve to be murdered.

I don't know what's wrong with me because everyone seems to like this book, but not I. I had to watch the movie b/c the book didn't hold my interest and then I still ended up not liking the movie! Maybe it was the religious theme that didn't sit well with me, but it just didn't make sense.

The jury is out on this one...While I think the book is well-written, I found myself unable to get into the story. I think the book needs more information about Dr. Patrick Henry and less trial information. Why did he turn out the way he is?

I thought that Linda Bergstrom (the wife of the psychopath) was very brave and strong. She had to work to show police that her husband was really the bad guy she knew he was.

This was one of the first books I had suggested to me as a child that I enjoyed. I could really understand the characters-I like the Bellairs books better than Harry Potter books.

I enjoyed this book. Amy Tan has the ability to write characters who you'd like to meet, and she can weave a story like no one else. This book can bring tears to your eyes and also bring a smile to your face.

This is a great debut thriller from the mother/daughter writing team of PJ Tracy. It reads like no other mysery I've read before-it has just enough creepiness to keep the hairs on the back of your neck stand up. I look forward to reading anything from PJ Tracy.

Darcy O'Brien is a great author who gives a lot of details in his books. This was the first book I read of his, and it made me interested in the other books he has written. I couldn't believe the antics and brutality of the main character, Dr. John Dale Cavaness, but it also tells a tale of a family struggling to cope with loss and how they endured after such tragedy hit them.

This is such a sad tale of a young adult that was such a good individual, but let drugs ruin his life. Makes me scared to be a parent because it seems there isn't a lot you can do when your child gets hooked on drugs and they become a totally different person.

I couldn't get into this book-and that's rare for me in an Amy Tan book. Usually she can weave a story that makes you want to keep reading, but I was so confused by the ending. This was not as good as some of her earlier works.

I thought this was an entertaining read-this is a much different genre of books for me since I primarily read mystery and true crime, but this book is lighthearted and funny. Some of the characters seem too over the top, but at the same time, I kept wanting to plow through the book to get to the end.
