I had never read this author before. His writing style can sometimes be hard to follow, but he certainly keeps the suspense mounting, and you are hard pressed to guess the endings to some very complicated relationships. I would certainly read his other books.

This book was written in saga format and is a period peace following the lives of mainly two English cousins. Unlike many historical novels, it touches on many forbidden subjects - illegitimacy, incest, violence. It is well written and very entertaining with a surprise ending I can't wait to read more from this author.

This was a great book! I have found that all of this author's books are totally engaging from the minute you start reading. This one leaves you guessing until the last few pages. I highly recommed it.

This is a great thriller by one of the greatest writers, Greg Iles. Couldn't read it fast enough. Started out exciting and the action did not stop.

This was one of the best books I have read in a long time. It moved quickly, with plenty of on-the-edge-of-your-seat moments.

I read Belva Plain's books years ago, but this is the first time in a long time. This book was fast-paced, and had a twist ending. I am looking for more of her books!
