As with all the Anna Pigeon books, this one started off strong on the first page and continued to hold my interest until the very end. There was very little about Anna's personal life in this book, which appeals to some readers. Personally, I enjoy learning more about her when she's not on duty. But, overall, I rate the book quite highly and will, of course, continue to read other Anna Pigeon novels.

We haven't had a chance to try too many of the recipes yet, but we've looked at many of them and our mouths watered. We did try the recipe for basic brioche and it was delicious!!
I'm sure this book is going to be a much appreciated and often used addition to our extensive collection of cooking and baking books.

Margaret Maron's Deborah Knott series is one of my favorites. I've read them all to date. The Buzzard Table will not disappoint readers who have enjoyed Maron's other Judge Knott books. I look forward to reading the next one in the series when it's available.

I devour everything that Lilian Harry writes about World War II as soon as I can get my hands on it. This trilogy had nearly 800 pages and I finished it in less than a week, even staying up until 11:30 p.m. and later - which is something I rarely do - unless I'm reading a book I cannot put down.
For anyone who has an interest in "at home" life in Britain during Wordl War II, this is a 'must read.'

All of the Gideon Oliver books are great and this one did not disappoint. I have to be careful when I start to read one because once I do, I can't put it down until I'm finished. I only wish there was a never-ending supply of them.

I have not yet read the Whisper of Evil by Kay Hooper, but if it's anything like the other books in the Bishop series, I'll give it 5 stars, just like the ones I've read. There are 12 now and I've read 5 of them. Each has been impossible for me to put down once I read the first few pages.
