Fantastic! One of the absolute best horror books I've ever read. For true fans of vampire fiction and horror fiction. It implements every character from vampire books, movies, tv series, comic books etc, as well as characters from most well known horror books. For fans of 'The League of Extraordinary Gentlemen'.

I could not put this down, literally. I finished it in one long beach day and the resulting night. It reads like old Stephen King and is just as creepy. The main characters are great, especially the viewpoint from an 80 year old WW2 vet trying to fight for his life.

One of the better alternate history novels out there. Well researched and well written, Robert Harris did a fantastic job conveying his story and point across. This needs a big budget movie adaptation!

It's as if Chuck Palahniuk and David Sedaris set out to wrote a Bukowski style, tongue in cheek mystery. It's full of many twists and turns, colorful characters and a pretty in depth look into the world of taxidermy. I actually learned a lot. Brian Wiprud really did his research. It was a nice, quick, fun read. I've already ordered the second book!
