In the Swiss Alps, Rudi's father died trying to climb the Citadel. Now, at 16, Rudi has a chance to climb it with Capt. John Winters on his quest to conquer the impossible peak. Should Rudi go against his mother's wishes to prove his courage and make his dream come true?
Good adventure story liked by both girls and boys.

This ballet series was a fun one for my girls when they were 9-12 years old. Typical girl rivalry at this age.

The author Erdman presided over the dramatic rise and fall of the United California Bank in Basel, Switzerland, of which he was founder and first president. He began writing The Billion Dollar Sure Thing while "detained" in a Swiss jail as a result of his bank's collapse. His book, however, is a work of fiction.

The back cover reads:
"Despite the terrifying memories of a weekend of being stalked by a killer and the horror of losing a good friend to an icy death, Kelly has agreed to join the Ski Club for spring break at Deep Creek Lake. After all, the psycho reponsible for the horror of that weekend was locked up tight in a mental hospital...
But a quick glimpse of a familiar face on the slopes strikes a note of panic in Kelly's heart. The unthinkable has become reality...and a crazed killer is plotting a sinister way to get away with murder. The terror has returned..."

Typical Sweet Valley High book for ages 9-12 yrs. (Boyfriends, girlfriends, accidents, love, etc.) I loved playing the board game after they read these books.

"Be afraid. Be VERY afraid. This collection of terrifying stories peels back the skin of daily life, exposing the horror underneath. Meet the boy who buys a werewolf mask for Halloween, only to meet a real werewolf; a bathtub that transforms its owners into ax murderers; an after-school job where you pay...with your life. Incoluding the classic Dracula and stories by Stephen King and Robert Westall, here is a book you'll never be able to forget--no matter how hard you try."

The anguished story of a straight line who falls in love with a dot and how they live together, or can they? 3 people who know I love math have given me this book, so I'm keeping one!

"Harriet Lerner is a brilliant and wise therapist who is completely authentic and hilariously funny. She's the real deal. Her teachings on coping with fear, anxiety, and shame are central to living a loving, happy, and creative life. I'm thrilled to be able to send copies of this fabulous book to the people I love."

Great tips. A popular author for choosing the right college for your child. Fiske minces no words; it was a refreshing and helpful book for us. You may not agree with Fiske, but you will know what HE thinks.
