I Promise: How 5 Essential Commitments Determine the Destiny of Your Marriage
Review Date: 6/16/2008

If you are married, or if you're planning to get married, or if you think you might be married one day(and are not affraid of a little self-examination)...read this book! 'I Promise' will change your life by making your marriage the "safest place on Earth." I read this book and then, because my husband isn't a big reader, went and bought the DVD so I could share what I learned with him.

Mount Vernon Love Story : A Novel of George and Martha Washington
Review Date: 1/23/2010

This is a very sweet, very refreshing story! I loved Mary Higgins Clark's portrayal of 'Patsy' (Martha Washington). As a fan of historical fiction, Mount Vernon Love Story sparked an interest in me to learn more about the life of our nation's first president.

I loved the book Pride and Prejudice. Like any good book, I was thinking about the characters even when I wasn't reading about them. The relationship between Jane and Elizabeth Bennett is one any pair of sisters would envy. Not surprisingly, I prefer the book to the movie. The book is much more detailed than the condensed version of the movie. I plan to read each of Jane Austen's novels. She is brilliant.

Yukon Quest: Treasures of the North / Ashes and Ice / Rivers of Gold
Review Date: 12/23/2009

I really really enjoyed this trilogy. These women...Grace, Karen, and Miranda endure unimaginable hardships and look to their faith to get them through. At a challenging time in my own life, these God-fearing women inspired me to press on. And they reminded me that no matter what mess we find ourselves in...God is always in control.
