I really enjoyed these true stories of faith under fire. Many are first hand accounts of personal experiences from military personel that provide insight into faith when faced with enormous opposition. Others are taken from written accounts of similiar situations.

I love this book. It is mysterous and suspenseful while it leads the reader into the minds and hearts of its characters. I relish books in which I feel involved in the character's emotions. You know something is not quite right from the beginning of the book, and the ending is a surprise. As this is this authors first book, I will be looking for more from Chris Fabry.

I am 50 years old, have been an avid reader since first grade, and have never experienced a book this profound and heart wrenching. I actually had to put the book down at one point due to my gut wrenching sobs. These accounts of our soldiers, their families, and those left behind touched me in a way I know I will never forget or get over. The men and women who deliver "the news" are special people doing very special work.

Their Last Words: A Tribute to Soldiers Who Lost Their Lives in Iraq
Review Date: 5/24/2010

I really liked this book. It provides a picture of our soldiers as separate people, not just as a large group of blended people. You've heard of the saying "Can't see the forest for the trees." This book allows the reader to see the trees.
