The eldest and most sensible of the three Cabot siblings, Caroline is naturally concerned that her sister Vivienne has lately been keeping company with the infamous Adrian Kane, Viscount Trevelyan, the enigmatic nobleman whom most of the Ton firmly believe is a Vampire.
Surely, it is nonsense. And yet...
The brooding gentleman inhabits a dark castle and is never seen in the daylight embarking nightly on mysterious excursions to who knows where. And from the first moment Caroline encounters the handsome, hypnotically compelling viscount, she is shaken by a fevered desire for the man that borders on the unnatural.
She must know Adrian's secrets! But each step that draws the inquisitive beauty deeper into his shadowy world pulls her closer to a sensuous surrender, for the power of his passion is impossible to resist. Is he man or monster, champion or villian? And will a yearning heart lead Caroline to dasaster...or to love?

In particular, she's been looking for a way to employ some cutting-edge DNA technology, and she thinks she's found it in a twenty-year-old murder-in Tennessee. If her office solves the case, they'll all end up looking pretty good, right?
Her investigator is not so sure-not sure about anything to do with this woman, really-but before he can open his mouth, a shocking piece of violence intervenes, an act that shakes up not only their lives but the lives of everyone around them as well. It is not a random event. Is it personal? Is it professional? Whatever it is, the implications are very, very bad indeed...and they're about to get much worse.
Sparks fly, traps spring, twists abound-this is the master working at the top of her game.

It came in a plain brown wrapper, no return address-an audiocassette recording of a horrifying, soul-lacerating scream followed by the sound of a childlike voice chanting:
"Bad love, bad love. Don't give me the bad love..."

For Alex Delaware the tape is the first intimation that he is about to enter a living nightmare. Others soon follow disquieting laughter echoing over a phone line that suddenly goes dead, a chilling act of trespass and vandalism. He has become the target of a carefully orchestated campaign of vague threats and intimidation rapidly building to a crescendo as harrassment turns to terror, mischief to madness.

With the help of his friend LAPD detective Milo Sturgis, Alex uncovers a series of violent deaths that may follow a diabolical pattern. And if he fails to decipher the twisted logic of the stalker's mind games, Alex will be the next to die. Taut, penetrating, terrifying Bad Love is vintage Kellerman.

Every seven years, on the seventh day of the seventh month, stange things happen. it began when three young boys-Caleb, Fox and Gage-went on a camping trip to the Pagan Stone. And twenty-one years later, it will end in a showdown between evil and the boys who have become men-and the women who love them....

This is the first of a three book trilogy with Nora Roberts at her best. I can't wait to read the other two and yet I know when I've finished them all I will wish I hadn't read them so quickly.
