I thought I would gain more from this book. It is basically the old "I'm counting to three," scare tactic. Was not helpful to me as a mother of four.

I enjoyed reading this book. It takes me back to the time when I was 11 and learned my love for reading. Very similar to the writings of Richard Peck. I recommend this book for your pree-teen.

Someone suggested that I read this after I fell in love with THE SHACK. It doesn't compare. It is an easy read, but I didn't completely enjoy it.
