This is a great book. The author knows how to write a good action story. This is a sequel to his first book "Crashers" which I also really liked. The sequel has most of the same team of characters. Now I'm looking forward to the third book. The author deserves to be better known.

Web London was trained to penetrate hostile ground and come out alive. Then ten seconds in a dark alley cost him everything - his friends, his fellow agents, his reputation. Among his super-elite FBI Hostage Rescue Team, Web was the sole survivor of a high-tech, devastating ambush. Now Web is trying to put his life back together and understand what really happened. To get answers, he'll need the help of psychiatrist Claire Daniels and the one other human being who lived through the attack - a ten year old boy. But when his search leads him back to that bloodstained alley, Web suddenly realizes he is about to face his assassin again. And this time, one of them will become the ... Last Man Standing.
This is one of my favorite Baldacci books - and I've read most of them.

From the cover: For defense attorney Mickey Haller, the clock is always running. With 2 ex-wives, 4 Lincoln Town Cars that he uses as offices, and dozens of guilty clients, he can't afford to miss a trick. When he gets picked up by a Beverly Hills rich boy arrested for assault, Mickey sees a nice long, expensive trial with maximum billable hours - until it hurtles him into the last place he wants to be. Suddenly hustling, cynical Mickey Haller is confronted with pure evil and someone who may be truly innocent. Now, for a lawyer who has always gone for the easy score, getting justice means taking the deadliest risk of all.

From the cover: July, 1996 - a man & a woman who are married (but not to each other) make love on a Long Island beach as a video camera records them - and something more. Out over the ocean, TWA Flight 800 suddenly explodes with 230 victims on board. The government's verdict is mechanical failure. But the videotape may tell another story - if it can be found. Now, on the 5th anniversary of the crash, 2 members of the Federal Anti-Terrorist Task Force set out to reopen the case: John Corey, an ex-NYPD detective, and his wife, Kate Mayfield, a career FBI agent.

From the cover: Elizabeth McMann, the ambitious First Lady of the U.S. (and known in the tabloids as "Lady Bethmac"), is on trial for the death of her philandering husband, and the only man who can save her is the boyfriend she jilted in law school - now the most shameless defense attorney in America. Published to rave reviews, this is a hilariously warped love story for our time set in the funniest place in America: Washington, DC.

From the cover: An intoxicating novel that goes right to the heart of every woman's fantasy of erotic love. A sensational woman - she lived in glamour and luxury. She had all the lovers she could want, but she didn't know love. A fabulous man - his romance, generosity and love-making was absolute perfection.

This is the 5th installment of the Elvis Cole, P.I. series. I like it enough to read more of the series. From the cover: L.A. private investigator Elvis Cole is hired by a popular TV star to delve into her past and identify her biological parents who gave her up for adoption. It seems clear cut. But when he gets to Louisiana, he finds that there's something much darker going on. Other people are looking and some are turning up dead. When Cole realizes that his employer knew more than she was telling, this becomes a twisting tale of identity, secrets and murder.
