Alligater conservationalist Coco LeBlanc knew real fear when she found a body in the clutches of her beloved beasts. Fear turned to horror when she saw that it had been one of the Trahan clan-and he'd been shot in the back.
Her ex-boyfriend, Luc Trahan, had dumped Coco two years ago when she refused to give up her family's centuries old voodoo traditions, and he didn't know about her new found faith. Now, as they and their families become prime suspects in the grisly crime, they'll have to work together to clear their names before the Cajun killer strikes again."
This was my first exposure to this author, and my first exposure to a Christian based style of writing. It was not too overpowerful, just a nice touch and change from the
"norm" in fictional mysteries. Being from Louisiana, it was nice to see some of the interesting culture interwoven throughout the story. Very fast read!

This is the first Kay Hooper book I have read. It was just what I needed ... suspense, romance and intrigue, then throw in a little paranormal activity! It was a fast read; great for a cozy spot with hot tea to ward off a cold winter evening. I will be reading more of her work in the future.

Twenty-two years before, Carrington's wife and a neighborhood girl, including Kay's father died under mysterious circumstances and now Peter is being charged with the murders.
MHC is one of my favorite authors. I like her style of writing. Although, some things may be considered predictable for MHC novels, the "Whodunit" was a surprise to me!

This was my first book to read written by Siri Mitchell. I am intrigued with the time period, yet I did Not know what to expect. I found it interesting in the style of writing - switching narrators and giving different perspectives. There is a stark contrast of their simple lifestyles, plain dress, and expectations of "proper behavior". It made me feel their sense of confinement, frustration, and need to break free but without knowing how. I was surprised with the ending.

Researchers have shown that soy protein consumption reduces the risk of coronary artery disease, and suspect there may be a link to the prevention of cancer, osteoporosis and the relief of menopausal symptoms. Wide variety of recipes included.

This was my first exposure to Mary Lynn Baxter. This novel included murder, mystery, romance, and intrigue. Once again, trust with love is so important! Great page turner. Will read more books by this author!
