This was pretty great book.Mezrich really did take what could have been a somewhat menial story and brought it to life. Its a good read, I think, a bit better than the movie.

This is one of the best books I have ever read. It is the second book to the Dead Is series. The author ,Marlene Perez, describes the main character as a high school girl who is in a family of psychic. The main character, Daisy, is described as a layed back girl but has alot of problems such as her boyfriend, Ryan, seems to be hanging with a very pritty girl and Daisy doesn't like it. This book is amazing because the auther gives great description of the characters that are introduced and what is happening in her small town of Night Shade. Perez even gives the characters thought on everything that is happening like, "My high heels would make to much noise on the marble staircase." She tells you that she is wearing heels and that on a marble staircase, it will be to loud. This is why I will rate this book a 10 becasue I love the way she wrote this book.

Dear Zoe by: Philip Beard
Dear Zoe is a book about losing someone you love. In the book Tess DeNuzio is writing to her dead sister telling her about her life and how it was effected. Zoe is a sweet little girl that had everything she ever wanted but it all ruined on that one summer day. As Tess was watching her little sister the phone rang and as she went to get it she had no clue what was going to happen. Zoe raced into the street just as a car came flying down the street. The driver did not see Zoe and she got ran over. That day Tess's life changed forever. After Zoe's death the family starts to fall apart. This book is Tess telling Zoe what she is missing. Tess learns more about herself by writing to Zoe and she learns a lot of life lessons.
I loved this book. It makes you empathize for the main character Tess. This book opens your eyes to things that are really important. Anyone can relate to the main character Tess because she lost the one person she loved most. I love Philips way of writing. The way he puts the book in a dairy form is brilliant. I would recommend this book to anyone.

Fast and Brutal Wing by Kathleen Jeffrie Johnson is a good book. It is about a girl named Niki and her brother Emmet who are a little different than other people. It is written in a series of journal entries, emails, newspaper articles, and stories. All about the strange events that leads to a strange authors disapearence. Niki, Emmet, and their friend Doug were there when the author went missing on Halloween night. The wierd part is that the siblings can transform into animals and back. But no one will believe them.
I give the book a 9 because it was a really good book. I thought that it was a very creative idea to write the book in a series of journal entries, emails, newspaper articles, and stories. I thought the book was really good because it had action and it was mysterious. The mysterious part was good and bad. It was good because it made the story cooler and the bad part was that at first it was a little confusing because I didnt know what was happening. Then you could later grasp the story more. I didn't get into the book until a while into the book. In the begining of the book you couldnt grasp what was going on in the book, who were the characters and why these things were happening, but then later into the book it was explained. Other than that I thought that the book was really good.

A Great and Terrible Beauty is about a girl named Gemma Doyle who discovers an ancient power that endagers her and her friends. I rated this book an 8 because the author, Libba Bay, kept me engaged in the story through out every page. It was very well written and the fantasy Bay created about the world where anything is possible was very interesting. I didn't put the book down until I was finished and even then I was looking forward to the sequel.

Grief Girl by Erin Vincent is a true story about her life. When she was 14 years old she was at home waiting for her parents, when her phone rings. It's a nurse telling her that her parents were in a car accident. She was in shock and she ran to her neighbor's house.
That left Erin, her older sister Tracy, and their little brother Trent in turmoil. At first their parents' friends and family were nice and caring. Then after a while they all became unsupporting, from their uncle who wouldn't give them THEIR money to spend or to their mom's old friend who started flirting with their dad while he was on his sickbed!
I rated this book a 10 because it was really good. It must have been hard for Erin Vincent to write this book because she would have to relive the memories. But the way she wrote this book was phenomenal. You can feel her pain, anguish, and frustration at the world, her family, God, and even herself. You can't help but feel some compassion for her as she struggled in this book. It was a truly marvelous and profound book.

In this book, with a great medevil setting, the realm of Mensador is thrown into chaos. A boy named Quentin started with a simple task of delivering a letter and ended up saving the Dragon king of Mensador and defeating the evil Necromancer before he takes over the world. This book consisted of fast paced action, great detail and intense storyline that made this book very memorable. The detailed, likeable characters such as Durwin and Toli, along with Quentin, and plot of them from different points of view made this story come to life. It is still clear in my mind as I set off into the journey of books 2 and 3, and enjoy the series all around. 5 out of 5 stars.

This book is very interesting, its very descriptive and fun to read. It is about this girl who lives in a town that is so dry that there is dust everywhere. It goes through parts of her life and describes how she feels and what she wants. She wants more then anything to get out of that town and go somewhere where dust isnt. There are some very good things that happen to her and some very bad and sad things. The words on the pages are big and there arent that many it is in more of a poem format then a book one so you dont really know how much you are reading. There are some boring parts too but in the interesting parts you get so into the book that you dont even relize how many pages you read. And the author does a good job of making you feel like you are in the story.

The Sorta Sisters

This book is about this girl named Anna. She lived alone with her adoptive mother Johnette and was considered to be "a little light on friends." Then, one day, Anna got a letter from a girl that lived on the other side of the country, her name was Mica. Even though they had never met, they continued to write back and forth to each other.
The reason I gave this book a 0 was because I decided to drop it after forty pages. I considered this book incredibuly predictable, there was basically no surprise involved. Every time I would finish a chapter, I almost knew exactly what would happen in the next chapter. Also, the author, Adrian Fogelin, didn't use any attention grabbing techniques. I found myself constantly losing focus and I had to go back and reread a lot of the time. The overall plot of this book was repetative, I've read many books that have the same overall idea as this book. Throughout the whole time I read this book, I wasn't excited to know what happened next, because I sort of already knew... there were no surprises. Therefore, I rate The Sorta Sisters a zero, since I never decided to finish it.

Tales From Watership Downs was something less than the original. I read the first when I was young and distinctly remember being thrown around by the violence and severity of it. The sequel didn't have that type of authority. It was reminiscent of the first but didn't live up to it.
