excellent sequel, don't read unless you read the first "the Sparrow".
If you have been taught by Jesuits, even if you are no longer religious, an especially interesting pair of novels.
And Great SF too!

Fools Rush In : Steve Case, Jerry Levin, and the Unmaking of AOL Time Warner
Review Date: 1/15/2009

Good account of what went on when and where.
Documents how Case hoodwinked a gullible Levin into what remains, years later "the worst deal in sotck market history".
The employees of TWX ( I am one) have been hit nearly as hard as those of ENRON. They are just the 'walking dead' in terms of past worth.

If Richard Ford wrote of a man who was 'waiting for Godot' , this would be a similar result.
Enjoyable read, disappointing story.

the over 900 pages was intimidating, and could have been written in 600... but it stayed engrossing enough to finish.
A very detailed description of recent India, from the lowest strata of society .

A War Like No Other: How the Athenians and Spartans Fought the Peloponnesian War
Review Date: 2/14/2007

Very hard to read. Too much like a Microsoft manual. The author either assumes you are very well versed in Greek history or is trying to prove how well HE is versed in it.
He jumps all around the geograhy and timeline in every paragraph.
I found myself skimming to glean the insights and descriptive tidbits buried in his text.
A disappointment.
