This was a hard book to put down. It jumped between the past and present day so if you don't like that type of time line, don't read it. That said, the format helped to create that "I just can't put it down!" feeling.

This is the 3rd book in the series. You can read it alone, but the first two books are a good reference for a couple of the characters.

The secret service is looking for her...when are they going to catch up to her? I didn't want to put the book down because I was waiting for the answer to that question. Good book! I recommend it!

This was a fast read because it just sucked you right in! Every character had a drama going on (which was a bit much) and the two characters mended their relationship MUCH too easily. Other than that I completely enjoyed it. Movin' on to the second book - Deep Blue Sea for Beginners which picks up the story of one of the side characters from this book.

Quick and easy read. Spots of humor and villans that just seemed to keep coming back. "Why won't she die?" - a comment from one of the main characters. Enjoyed it!

This is the third book in this series and deals with the grandchildren of the characters in the book October Wind. I have not been able to find the second in the series called Jewel of the Sea.

I enjoyed this book and recommend it. If you like historical books, add this to your list.

When I first started reading this, I thought, "Oh...not another story like this." Virginal woman forced to marry by a father that didn't understand her. I was nicely surprised because the setting was anything but what I expected (but I won't spoil it for you). Susan Elizabeth Phillips is quickly becoming one of my favorite authors.

I had a hard time putting this book down but I found that it wrapped up much too quickly. The logical part of my brain didn't like the end, but the happy ever after part was satisfied.

I have to say that I was tempted to stop reading in the first quarter of the book because the characters and the historical content didn't draw me in.

I'm glad that I stuck with it.

The characters each developed throughout the book with small stories of their own that wove them all together. I was disturbed by the horror of the Inquisition but it made the story that much more heart touching. Main theme of the book? No matter how small or large your dream is, always strive to reach your goal even in the face of opposition and stand behind your own beliefs.

Hope you enjoy!

I just love books that make me laugh out loud. This book did indeed achieve that. Very quick read. I was done with it in less than a day. If you want a feel good - little pick me up - in the middle of the holiday season but are lacking in time, reach for this story.

I found this book to be OK. I am a Woods and Wiggs fan, but I found the story by Susan Mallery to be my favorite. It was about a quirky and disfunctional family and was humorous. I did not care for the main characters in The Borrowed Bride and the A Bridge to Dreams stories.

This was a very good book. The timeline that the author used to unfold each woman's story made the book very entertaining and hard to put down. If the book leaves you with a warm fuzzy feeling and looking at the blessing in your own life, it has done it's job.

I was tempted to stop reading this book about a third of the way through because it never really picked up speed. It started out steady and continued steady throughout the book (no lows and no highs). I didn't guess who the bad guy was until right before he/she was revealed...yeah, I'm not giving it away! :)

I had a hard time putting this book down. It's a fast easy read for the summer. Nothing surprising about the romantic storyline (man and woman trapped on a mountain and have to survive) but the killer surprised me at the end! Hope you enjoy!
