You'll read in reviews that Anne Lamott seems to be sitting right beside you, a long-time best friend, just seeing, and sharing the world in her unbelievably humorous way because it is, simply - the truth! This book, Bird by Bird, is on her writing classes, with good, solid advice for the would-be writer, as many pitfalls and crests as you can imagine, with food for thought, and thought for food. A great read, side-splittingly funny in and out, even if you've no aspiration to be a writer at all!

Cybill Disobedience: How I Survived Beauty Pageants, Elvis, Sex, Bruce Willis, Lies, Marriage, Motherhood, Hollywood, and the Irrepressible Urge to Say What I Think
Review Date: 10/30/2013

Oooh, YES I enjoyed it! Cybill is Cynical with such Wit, Humor, Aplomb, and just plain ole', downright Logic that I had to put the book down, time and again, to just hold my sides from so much laughter. Yep. There I am, alone in my room, propped up with her, and just literally hooowling out loud. I just love her, and to get behind the veneer that she herself is so wont to disdain - thanks, but tell my parents, not me!, was sheer delight. Literate? Ooooh yeh. I hope the next in line is as tickled by it as I! Thanks to my lovely "donor!"

This is more a reference book than a read, but it's great info on both counts! Thanks for sending, wrapped nicely against any rain, too. Look forward to incorporating all this great natural knowledge to my growing base of food, from gardening to cooking, always with caring.

This is a small book, packed with wonderful information about the origin, style, and spiritual meaning of the Totem icons of the Pacific Northwest. Long attracted to their look, and impact, it's great to have found a fellow member that wanted to pass her copy along. Lush with photographs as well, it's a teaching, and a delight!

Thanks so much!
