This is a great book about a woman who grew up in the early 1900's.She grows up in New York and then in Puerto Rico. Lenora is faced with the decision of being a liberated woman, following her dream of aviation or loving a man and becoming domesticated. The book is filled with so much more though ;life in Puerto Rico on a plantation, what it was like to chase a dream that many women would not do in the early 1900's. Very good novel

This is a great story about a girl who is left orphan but finds a home with an old man in a lighthouse. Through him she learns about the telling stories, life and love. This is all done by an author who always has many twists and turns to her stories. She often brings in a bit of history and nothing is as it seems. I love her writing

This is a great book of 10 short stories by Penelope Fitzgerald.Ms. Fitgeralds' books have won many awards and this is her only book of short stories. Her stories that I have read are about people in a moment of their lives. The endings are just endings. Not necessarily happy or sad,but just the end of that story
