This book was a bit disappointing. It does not have a alot of variety patterns or designs and is much like the log cabins patterns. The theme is the same through out the book.

I really his enjoy his humor. I just pick up this book and open any page and I laugh. He was a very intelligent man. He played on words alot. People say things like, I would not like to you in church. I asked them does this mean you would like to me outside church. Some people are offended because nothing is off limits to George. There are things in the book I don't like. That is ok, just move on to something else. Overall it is get to get a good belly laugh daily.

This book is a really good tutorial. The instructions follow thru from information on the type of wax, what wax does what, what type of candle the wax is best suited for. Very easy to understand and follow instructions. This exactly the type of book I was looking for. I like the size of the book too. It is long and narrow, so it would fit nicely into a container with my candle supplies.

This book I am excited about. Eleanor Burns is an excellent teacher. She takes one thru the patterns step by step with illustrations. She has thru the years developed many short cuts. It depends on the year the book came out how current the short cuts are. But, it is good to see how they made due before the current quilting tools came out. Making due helps with the expense of buying more tools. I would highly recommend any of her books.

I like this book, it is a book written earlier in Eleanor Burns career. To me it is interesting to see how some aspects of quilting were done before we learned short cuts or new tools. Like the advancement in new rulers. She shows how to do the same thing without the new ruler. She breaks down the steps to each square design. The focus of the book is on making the different blocks which are all sewn by machine. She also teaches how to put the blocks together and then how to quilt by machine. The book is very informative I highly recommend it.

This book has excellent common sense advice. The advice can be applied to most anything in life not just about men. I got this for my 27 yr old daughter, but I wanted to read it before sending it on. I had never read one of Dr. Laura'a books before. I highly recommend it. What she has to say is so true. We women know what she says is true. But, most women in a particular situation don't want to accept the same advice they would give their best friend. Bottom line what is best for your life. You can only change yourself no one else. Get your own life together and find fulfillment.

Love this book. The women who wrote did book has been studying this subject for over 20 yrs and has completed several clinical studies on the matter. The book is very informative as well as helpful. It is helpful in that she provides skills to deal with the problem. This is about thoughts we cannot let go of we think and think and think.
