An excellent book for women reflecting on life choices-- both why they don't have children and why that's not a lack in their lives necessarily. A balanced view of a path less traveled but valued nonetheless.

An excellent book of poems. With an inscription and signed by the author. I'm cleaning off shelf space and wish to swap so that someone else may enjoy. :)

While the author's previous book was engaging and charming in its theme and vision, this book's narrative arc was a bit stilted. I wanted her to have more to compare her latest passion for butchery with than her struggling marriage and affair. While the prose is clear, I didn't find myself liking the narrator or, even more important for my own reading pleasure, pulling for her and understanding her struggle. It's probably unfair to compare a first book with another, so I think this book does have merit, but it was not quite what I expected going into it. I do applaud her forthrightness.

My copy of this book has a slightly different image on the dust jacket, but the text is absolutely the same. A delightly colorful and compact design book for anyone interested in an overview of how many common objects came to appear as they do. :)

Great and interesting book by a French literary wonder. Please note that the cover and edition of my copy is different than in the picture (but the text is the same). The one I am listing for swap is a Dell 1977, first edition printing, with a woman's profile and red and white letters on the cover. Unmarked pages, but the binding on the last inch at the bottom of the copy has torn and flaked a bit with age.

I love celebrity biographies of the Golden Age of Hollywood as well as the early years of TV. This bio was quite insightful, not only about Vivian Vance's well-documented "I Love Lucy" years, but gives intriguing glimpses (many chapters, in fact) of who Vivian was before Ethel, and how she dealt with being called Ethel for the rest of her life after her famous role. A rare treat to read, as it has been out of print for a while.

Please note that the cover listed here is NOT the actual text of Tucker's book (they both have the same title). Tucker's book is best for beginning poets, especially teachers teaching the art of poetry to elementary and middle-school children. Both books are good, but thought I'd make the disclaimer that the cover that they show here at Paperbackswap is from another book (by Sandford Lyne). Thanks. :)
