Overall this was a good book, great ending, quite a surprise. But I do think it was not as good as Joshilyn Jackson's other two books, Gods in Alabama and Between Georgia. There were a lot of reasons I didn't like this book as much as I thought I was going to, I think that the characters weren't as likable and I didn't quite understand their actions. It was boring a little in the middle too.

I read this book in one sitting in only four hours. The story and characters are very engaging. It is the only book I have read that I was actually sobbing! It is better than the movie, a definite MUST read for romance fans. I've read a lot of romance novels and this is like no other.

I am a huge fan of Dean Koontz, my first of his was Life Expectancy after that I was just hooked. Now I am trying to read all of his older books and look forward to the new ones. But this book is just not that good. I have to admit I was disappointed, it just didn't grab me the way his books usually do. The story seemed to move so slow. Or maybe it was the ending that left me totally unsatisfied.
