Don't read much YA but this one sounded interesting. Some of the characters were well developed and I liked the premise. It was almost a traveloge of a bit of Europe but not the usual tourist sites. I did like it and then read the last book in the series. Would recommend it for light reading.

Another series by McCall Smith about an address and building and the people who live there. As usual the characters are well drawn and filled out making you want to know more about them and what they'll be getting up to next. I like him as a writer and would recommend this series.

Got started on this series recently and love it. This book continued the multiple story lines and characters that are in each book. Don't know if it could stand alone - have read the series in the order they were published. Good light reading.

Something a little different - a mystery with a decided Christian message but I liked it well enough that I've added the next two books in the series to my Wish List. Didn't figure out "who done it" until almost the very end.

Another series written by Walter Mosley with a central character that is a good person living with has flaws. As always the characters are well developed and you care what happens to them. I would recommend this series and this book.

Another first class book in the Guido Brunetti series. They have well developed characters that you get to want to know more about and the plots are well thought out and believable. I recommend this series.

Always wanted to read this when I was younger and finally got the chance. It still holds up today and Judy Blume does have the voice of a young girl and her worries and concerns. Glad I finally had the opportunity to read it.

A look into what it was like to be married to an American hero during the late 60's and early 70's. After learning what the wives put up with from NASA and what the expectations were, I realized we have indeed "come a long way baby". It was a picture of perfection that was to be presented to the public and the wives and children were expected to deliver that. They relied on each other and smoking and drinking were a way they coped with the stress. Most of them divorced but many of them are still friends to this day. A good read and I recommend it.

Was some disappointed in this book. Had put the next two in my Wish List but after reading the first one, deleted the other two from that list. Ok but not something I want to read any more about.

Liked this a lot - the characters where filled out and believable and very flawed and human. Lots of bloody scenes but again, within the context of the story, believable to carry the story forward. Not for the faint of heart but I do recommend it.

Love this series and the continued development of its characters. Easy Rawlins is now in his 30s and getting smarter about how to live in pre-Civil Rights America while protecting his family and himself. The other continuing characters continue to evolve and it's part of the interest in the plots. I highly recommend this book, as well as the others in the series.

Just found this series and am hooked. They are well written and have enough twists to keep you guessing. And I like Harry Bosch, the character. Have a feeling they will continue to get better and better.

Love this series and this book was no exception. Mosley has developed his characters over the length of the series and when you read the next book, it's like catching up with old friends. As always their was a good plot development, you wondered how Easy Rawlins was going to figure it out, and there was a satisfying ending. Highly recommend this series.

The latest in the Easy Rawlins series and I liked it a lot. I like the way we can follow the characters from one book to the next and find out what happens to them. Have read this series in order and sometimes feel like I know these characters and they're friends. Love the way Mosley writes and look forward to his books. Would recommend this series but start at the beginning.

The third book in this series and the characters continue to be developed well. I like the look back at what the customs were like during this period, before India's independence from British rule. The caste system is not explored much, but what was expected of women is a central feature of the books. The plot was good, the writing and look back at the 1930s even better. Would recommend.

While I loved several of Nina George's books, this one not so much. Didn't particularly like the characters, the story line, any of it. Am glad I read it but not going to recommend it to any friends.

This book is about the librarians that delivered books to the residents of Kentucky during the Depression by horseback, mule or donkey. Characters are well drawn and developed and it also shows that discrimination is toward anyone that
is different. Would highly recommend it.

Liked this a lot, but I'm a fan of SNL and this book goes into quite a bit of detail of what it was like to work there. (Also touched on how she got her scar - always wondered about that.) It's one woman's journey from an awkward young girl who finds her niche in life - while at times still feeling conflicted about herself.

The third book in this series and once again she has done a good job of getting you invested in what is happening to the two main characters. She is a terrific author and has always held my interest in her stories. Like that they are flawed as well as intelligent and with the best intentions. I really care about what's going to happen to them. Start this series -it's well worth it!
