My two boys love Blue's Clues. This is perfect for my 2 year old who loves Blues Clues and farm animals. The animals & sounds are presented in a nice board book.

I love the concept of sneaking in pureed veggies into dishes in order to get your kids (and husband...) to eat vegetables. There were a few good recipes. Oatmeal with sweet potatoes? Yum! Mac and Cheese with pureed squash? You coud tell a difference, but it was still edible. Brownies with spinach. ICK! My 2 year old did actually like them I will have to admit. He was the only one! I stuck with recipes that you could use baby food in. Actually steaming veggies and pureeing them myself just seems too time-consuming.

I love books that are fun to read & teach something! All of the books in this series are that way. We own a bunch of them and read them frequently. They're all written in the rhyme-y type of Dr. Seuss books which is fun as well.

Cindy Neuschwander & Joanna Cole (Magic School Bus) are my two absolute favorite authors! When an author can take a concept that even some high schoolers don't understand and creatively present it so that even someone in kindergarten can get the bacsic concepts...well, that is truly a gift...and those are the books I want to read over and over and over again. I LOVE this series!!! They're so fun to read! Even my 3 year old likes them. The setting is King Arthur's time period (knights, dragons, etc.). Each book has a math-related mission/quandry/theme. By using math (all explained in simple terms with catchy ways to remember what terms mean, the problems are solved.

I used this when teaching manners to Pre-K through 1st grade. This was their favorite book. It's educational and entertaining. It teaches general good manners in any circumstance through silly circumstances like saying "No thank you" if an alligator asks to eat you.
